  11. To install Assassin on your HD, first copy the directory 'Assassin' whereever you want,
  12. then go into this directory and double-click the Install-Assassin icon.
  13. You'll be prompted to insert the original Assassin disks and the contents of those
  14. disks will be copied on your HD.
  15.  
  16. To play Assassin, then, double-click the AssassinHD icon.
  17. The game will load.

  33. Note: Be careful not using copyback disk caches on your game partition, because of the
  34. in-game high-score saving routine. If the screen remains black and the drive led
  35. stays lit, press the F10 key and the game will quit without harm. Do not reset in
  36. that case, because you could damage your hard-disk structure (but exactly as if
  37. you reset during a file copy in the workbench...)
  38. I use a write-through disk cache with this program and everything runs fine.

  40. Original in-game keys:
  41.   '1-6'___________Go to corresponding level with infinite energy.
  42.   'W'_____________________Gives you maximum weapon configuration (not the boomerangs)
  43.   'E'____________Takes you straight to the end of level guardian.
  44.   'C'__________________________________Grants infinite continues.

  46. The "ACEVIEWFROMUPHEREMATE" cheat is useless here. Moreover, this cheat
  47. gave you infinite energy with in-game keys. I thought it was better
  48. to set infinite energy only with the trainer mode. So you can
  49. try the different levels in real conditions.
  50. The original trainer did not enable infinite lives neither, that could be
  51. annoying when you fall on spikes or electrical wires.
  52. I added this feature too (maybe it's useless with infinite continues).

  55. On the high score table, enter one of the following:
  56. "ASSASSIN", "THE ONE THE ONLY", "SUPERFROG", "ALIEN BREED", 
  57. "PROJECT X", "PSIONIC SYSTEMS".  Enter "MIDAN" to continue from
  58. where you left off.

  60. The highscore table is not updated at once when you load the scores.
  61. You have to play first (like in the original. That's a bug...)
  62. The LOAD HIGH SCORE option is useless as my program loads them
  63. just before the introduction. But it works...

  68. You must have at least 3MB of ram to run AssassinHD

  71. Program memory: 512K chip + 512K other mem
  72. Quit option: 512K chip

  74. E.g: you cannot quit or save/load highscores with only 3MB but you can do it
  75. from 4MB.

  77. If you get crashes at the assassin picture (just before the speech), try to activate
  78. the NOOSSWAP tooltype/argument. The highscore load/save will be disabled, but the crash
  79. can disappear.

  81. This installer was written and tested on a A1200/060/50/16Mb RAM.
  82. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  83. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  85. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  86. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  87. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.
